Christmas 2007

I am so proud of this picture I took of Logan. Check it out!!!! He is so adorable, it's hard to take a bad pic of him, even when he has his angry eyebrows piercing toward his nose, he is still cute. Logan is one awesome little man even at the age of 21 months.

Merry Christmas!!!

Let's face it, we are on Christmas Break, not Holiday Break or Winter Break.
So MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Is anyone else getting flooded with Christmas Cards and Christmas Emails and Road Rage?? Yeah, so the other night Todd, Clarke and I were in Tulsa heading to the mall, when we are stopped behind a string of cars. No one is in the left lane to our left. All of a sudden we hear this squealing, from tires hitting the breaks, behind us. We all look and this stupid truck was hauling balls and apparently didn't see our break lights or the break lights of the other 20 cars in front of us, and had to slam on his breaks (I assume it was a man, who else would be that stupid). He was going so fast that when he hit the breaks not only did it make a sound that Santa could hear but his rear wheels came up off the road. Kid you not! After my heart beat came back, my response was, "what a freakin stupid idiot." (what else is there to say) Then the cars in front of us start to move slowly forward so we creep along. and the stupid truck decides to get right up on our tail. Oh I just about got out of the car screaming not-so-nice jesters and cursing his ability to drive. But I refrained, after all it is Christmas time. So just remember, when you are out there shopping for that last gift to put a smile on a loved ones face, watch where you are driving b/c if you are not paying attention you might end up in someone's trunk. I'm talking Mafia style.
Peace out my friends!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Ice Storm....Again....

We never thought it could happen....let alone happen again. Yes the ever dreaded Ice Storm. Power Outages and Slick Icy Roads and Cold Finger tips. We have been hit again. However this time we have power....so far....
It's amazing when you wish for the weekend to never end and then Monday morning you wake up and shower and have your wonderful husband start defrosting/scrapping your car so you can drive to work...and you get this phone call....no power at work...let alone the whole town of Nowata. "Oh that's too bad..." Paige gets the day off and a 3 day weekend!! OH what to do with all this extra time....
-Play with Pictures on my computer!
-Get my Christmas Cards done/started!
-Clean the house...let's make that last!
-Watch TV...that went out at 10 this morning!
-Make a wonderful dinner for your hubby and the rest of the Ferguson's!! Yeah Family Dinner!
-Oh yeah and actually update my blog!
-How about anything I want to do...that involves staying at my house! (dude, I am not going out there)
Well I better get this posted b/c Todd just called and the mall is now out of power. (only about 3 miles away from here) Unfortunately for him they are running on a generator so he has to keep working.
Peace Out! Stay Warm!

SUP YALL

Hello my dear friends and blog readers. In my absence of blogging, I have been busy. I drove back to Cabool last weekend. It was a mix of reasons. 1. Elizabeth was celebrating her 27th Birthday!! 2. I was a tinnee bit homesick and HAD to see my family and love on them. 3. I got my camera and wanted to take a few pics of Logan!

But I have to say that number 2 was the biggest reason of all and with number 1 and the fact that Todd worked all weekend gave me an "excuse" to take the 4 hour journey!

Sorry to my Springfield friends, I didn't make it to see you on that trip.

Thanksgiving is our next trip and we hope to all get together some night. God has blessed us with Todd's amazing Thanksgiving schedule. One that we can see all our family (well everyone except the Budy's) and one that he will work the biggest shopping days of the years...he thrives on being so busy the small things go under the rug and you just work. Todd will be at the GAP Outlet in Branson!!! The day after Thanksgiving, Friday, and Saturday!! So if you need to get your "Todd" in for the weekend, that is where you will find him! Also on Sunday he has the entire day off work!! We are stoked! My family, Walls', have had a little Thanksgiving tradition for the last few years to spend that weekend in Branson. So this set up is perfect.

Well I am going to leave you with a fun picture I took of Logan. Maybe it will bring a smile to your face!! (well I can't figure out how to put the pic at the bottom...so you started with a smile on your face!)

Crystal and Haley say "I DO"

I'm back!!!! Miss me? Maybe, maybe not.

Well, as you know we have been very busy. My sister got married and it was a very lovely day. Probably the 2nd coolest wedding ever!!
{This is a picture from my friend Emily, it's my favorite. It's my Daddy with his 2 babies (Grandson Logan and Youngest Daughter Crystal).}
Tons of friends and family showed up for the glorious celebration of love! Friends and family from all around made the voyage to the center of the universe!! (it's true!) Anyway, a lot of work and love was put into this big day and my sister said, "It was all I had ever dreamed of!" And that is so true. The flowers were gorgeous and plentiful. The scenery was spectacular and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. They got married at Grandma Mac's backyard. {Here is a picture I had taken of the dock all dressed up for the occasion. You can just barley see the water fountain to the right.} Haley and Crystal's love filled the air. Kinda like how all the pollen filled Haley's nose; oh yeah, the poor kid, he was a mess, sneezing and nose running and eyes watering all day. But by the time he saw his bride walk down the long aisle filled with rose petals and leaves, he was all better. They exchanged vows and when it was time to give each other their rings, the girls played a trick. OH yeah, When Crystal turned to Amy for the ring, Amy looked a little confused and Amy turned to Emily and Emily turned to me and I turned to Elizabeth and luckily Eliz had the ring. Wow that was a close one. Well it made Crystal's little heart jump for a minute, but it was fun messin with her, and we got a little laugh from the crowd. Good stuff right there! The ceremony continued and the Crystal got a kiss and a new last name. It's official!
Good luck to Mr. and Mrs. Haley Gatewood!!!
I love you two!!

Lately we have been in recovery mode. And still trying to keep busy. OH yeah, and my hair still looks awesome! Thanks for all the comments. It's nice to know ppl care!

The New Do

I just went in for a trim. Picture before the Trim. And after the Cut!! What do you think?? A little bit shorter!
Yeah!

:)

More importantly, Todd loves it...and so do I.

I just love my friend Carrie Haase, my stylist! You can find her at Main Street Salon in Nixa, MO. Thanks Carrie!!! Even my Grandma loves it. A+

--as far as everything else in life, stay tuned. I promise a new post will come after the big wedding. My sister will be saying "I do" to Haley and vice versa! September 22. That means the big bachelorette party this weekend!!! (Don't worry Dad, no boys allowed. And yes I will take care of my baby sister.) Hey friends, check out Crystal and Haley's website, see the side panel for the link....it's easy to find.

HUMMMM??

Here's a good one for ya...just the other day this happened at work. I swear.

During break time at work the guys play a fast game of poker. I'm not sure how they do this but it is done. Some play with quarters, and others like to play all in on the last hand. I have not witnessed the game or their style (I might be able to take them...who knows) Anywho, this week one of the guys that plays off and on (we will call him Steve) walked up to another guys who used to play but hasn't in a while (we will call him Chad) and said...

Steve: Hey, why haven't you been playing lately?
Chad: Well I quit.
Steve: You quit! You quit playing poker?
Chad: Yeah, well I've quit a lot of things...Poker, Cussin, Drinkin, Smokin. I've started to go to church, so I quit all those things.
Steve: Well I go to church, and I still play poker.
Chad: Yeah, but I listened.

What a story. Now Steve left laughing and thought that was just pretty good. I guess if you gotta change your life around sometimes is easiest to just quit all the bad habits or the habits that cause the most trouble in your life. As for me, it sounds like there's an open seat during break time!! Gotsta go!!

It's HOT out here!

HELLO! It's over 100 degrees out there! What is this world coming to? I am no longer freezing in my office. For those that doen't know my office (just my area) has been freezing for most of the summer. The thermostat is set on 74 and it is the coldest 74 ever. Now we have it set on 72 and it can't even get cold enough to reach 74. Now my office is just the right temp. Just perfect. As for my car when I get off work it takes about half of my 20 min drive to cool that sucker off...and I have that aluminum windshield proctector thingy up all day (so I can touch the steering wheel without burning my hands!!).

And yes, we still play tennis out in this heat! Usually its when the sun is down, Hey we might be crazy, but we're not That Crazy! I must say we are getting a little bit better with tennis these days. I think it has a lot to do with my awesome new pink head band that I wear! Oh yeah, I'm stylin!

Beach Bummm

This is my wonderful nephew LOGAN. This is his first trip to the Beach!!! Florida Beach in fact! Our friend Amy is getting married on the beach today! So the "lucky" friends and family that were able to take off work and go vacation and celebrate the marriage of Amy and Colin are bummin on the sand. Lucky for me Eliz is a wonderful Sis-In-Law and she sent me a couple of pics (this is from yesterday, Thurs)...I thought I would share with my blog friends! Doesnt' this pic just make you want to be there saying "OK Logan, Throw me the Ball!!" How adorable! How lucky! I just love this kid! When we lived in Springfield, I would take the hour drive for granted so we didn't travel home very often. Now that we are a few more hours away (4) I wish I could travel to see this little guy grow up more often. He is constantly getting bigger and bigger. Turning into a young boy. What a gooob! Ok, just a week before I can hug his little body!!!! Can't wait!

Freedom Celebration

July 4, 2007
Todd and I were able to just hang out at the house all day together! It was wonderful to have a day off at the same time! I prepared a feast (chicken cordon bleu, corn on the cob, & peas) for all the Ferguson's!! (all us meaning all 4 of us to the left, Todd, Me, Rachael and Shane). We ate and then waited around until 8 to show up at the mall for B'ville's Firework show. Note pic at right, we are hanging out waiting on darkness to hit so fireworks can explode!! We had a lot of fun together and you can read more about our fun adventure on Shane and Rachael's website (link to the right). Plus this pic is stolen from there...thanks brother! They have an awesome new camera and we managed to get all 4 of us in a pic at an arm's length away. Nice camera!! Anywho we waited and waited and waited around for the show to start and finally a little after 10 the parking lot lights turned black and the show began. The best part was Shane commentating the event! He was so excited about the big booms that shook the truck and pounded your soul. It was awesome!
2007 4th of July was different than our usual celebration. Usually for the 4th we head to Todd's dad's for a huge family and friend celebration bbq. We would eat brats, chicken, hamburgers, etc and all the fixins plus more dessert. Once we would get full of food we would play some backyard ferguson volleyball. That is always loads of fun, like 10 ppl on a team, no lines just judgement calls. Sometimes we get the guns out and have target practice down the hill. Safety first of course! Once the sun goes down it's time for the guys to get all their firecrackers ready to shoot. We would eat some more goodies and set our lawnchairs up...at a safe distance from the crazy boys with punks. OOs and Awws and booms and bangs fill the air with the traditional laughter of love. I love this holiday!!! But this year it just wasn't the same. You know what they say....maybe next year! I hope so!

Happy 40th!!

Happy 40th post to me. Happy 40th post to me. Happy happy happy. Happy 40th post to me.

Now that my song is out of the way I can get down to business! I encourage my readers to check out Todd's blog as he has posted some pics from our trip to Wichita!! Great adventures! And never a dull moment as we act wacky crazy like dorks. yep that would be our middle name...dork!

So not much to write about since it has been either rainy or crazy hot in B'ville. Let me tell you when it rain it pours! When the sun it out, the sun is indeed out and bright and hot.

We have been watching Tennis on tv and we are inspired! Tonight we are going to the courts. Is that like going to the mattresses? Like I said...dork.

To my friends and family who read, WE MISS YOU! See you soon.

Do you smell Cookies??? Or is it Cinnamon Rolls!?!?

Ahh ha! The wonderful aroma of Homemade Cinnamon Rolls and Chocolate Chip Cookies baking in the oven has filled the Ferguson house for the last 2 weeks. Oh yes! And to much surprise we have not eaten them all ourselves! I went on a big...HUGE baking spree for Relay for Life. Instead of walking for the cause; I baked....Todd and I baked. As noted on Todd's last blog he and his work (Gap) were raising money for Relay For Life and that is what we did. So I brought in samples of some yummy treats and everyone gave me an order...several orders. The end result was 9 dozen Cinnamon Rolls, 8 dozen Choc Chip Cookies, Peanut butter balls, Oreo balls, Buck-A-Roos, NoBake Cookies, and White Chocolate covered pretzels kept me in the kitchen for 2 weeks with donations totaling over $400. How awesome is that?!!?!! It sure did make the nights on my feet up to my eye balls in flour sound a little better! I'm not sure on the actual Total that Gap employees raised but I do know that Gap is going to match $1 for $1. So we really raised over $800. WOW! Praise God! I'm sure Todd will post on the ending total...if he ever gets around to posting again...hehe

On a different note, Todd and I will be celebrating our 5 year anniversary this Friday!!! What an adventure it has been thus far! I can't wait to see what the next 5 years and the next 30 years bring us. Babe, I love you more today than yesterday...of course yesterday you had dinner ready for me when I got home....and today you are working late....but I still love you more than I did yesterday! I appreciate all you do for us! You bring me such happiness and love. I don't know what I would do without you! Thank you for loving me and treating me as your beautiful bride. You are the greatest! LAFY
To celebrate our anniversary we are headed to Wichita KS for the weekend. maybe an update of the fun stuff when we return.

2 weddings and a baby shower

That is what I have been up to for the past 3 weeks!!

Wedding 1 - Memorial Day weekend. Shane and Rachael gettin hitched on Sat. Todd and I headed back to Spfld on Thursday night (Todd was able to switch work shifts for us to head back that evening instead of early Friday)!! Friday we all met at the church to decorate for the wedding and then it was time for Rachael's Personal Shower....no details...no comment! :) The wedding day arrived and it was get hair and makeup done and make sure that it was Rachael's day with no problems...not to mention a 3 year old ring bear who wet his tux pants...always fun when we have kids involved!! The wedding was beautiful and of course the bride...how pretty...Rachael was just glowing all day! Her snow white dress was gorgeous on her and made her look radiant. The sage bridemaids gowns looked wonderful with the touch of lavendar daisies and yellow roses cascading the church. The highlight of the ceremony was when Shane got all choked up when he saw his bride for the first time walking down the aisle...then he had to play his guitar and sing to her...breath taking! They ended the night saying goodbye to USA and HOLA Mexico! (more details on their honeymoon click on the rachael and shane link)

Wedding 2 - The very next weekend my folks come down to deliver trailer load 2 and to pick me up for my cousin's wedding in Lawton, OK. Oh yes another wedding, but this one was only 4 hours away...a short trip...sorta. It was fun traveling with my parents, they are wonderful. We were able to catch up with our lives and different events going on. The 4 hours went by pretty fast. Once we arrived in Lawton it was time to change into our wedding attire and find the church. The bride, Meagan, looked stunning as she walked down the aisle. She had bright orange flower arrangement covering the stage and the bridesmaids wore blue gowns. A great color combination. Awesome!! After the "kiss" and once all the chocolate covered strawberries were gone we went on a caravan trip across Lawton. Very Beautiful! We headed to Fort Sill, Medicine Park, Cobblestone Village, and then to my cousin's house. If you are looking for a fun mini vacation not too far from home, you have to check out Medicine Park and drive up Mount Scott. BEAutiful! It was icing on the cake!

Baby Shower - Christina's little Madelynn is coming soon, so Angela hosted a baby shower in honor of the little one. We are so excited to welcome Baby Maddie in to this crazy big world. So of course we had to have cake...it's not a party unless there is cake!! My friend, Stephanie, make the cake and she did an outstanding job. Everyone wants her phone number...so Steph, get ready to make more cakes!! The cake was delicious and if Christina wouldn't have taken it home to Wyatt, I might of been able to sneak some home to Todd. Um Christina, if there is any left...you know my address!! What am I talking about, I know it's gone. Anywho, Welcome Maddie, we are waiting!!! After the Shower I headed for Cabool to see all my family. We were able to eat lunch with my aunts and uncles and then go to our little cabin in the woods. We had "homemade ice cream" by Blue Bunny and Grandma Mac's brownies. YUMO Little Logan is growing big and I just can't get enough of him. All Sat night we just watched him play with a string. How silly, but very entertaining.

Needless to say I have been very busy. Maybe things will start to slow down...what am I talking about...it's the summer...nothing is slow in the summer....well nothing but the weekends!
Enjoy your day! God Bless!

Church Hunting

Church Hunting. Sounds like a fun game, right? Wrong...well kinda wrong, kinda right. It's neat to see the different ways people worship and give praises to God. It's neat to see all the different bulletins that are handed out. It was really weird to see a flyer that said Poker Run and Bike Run that is hosted by a church. Poker and Church...sounds like a Full House! hehe. Each church is so different. Good stuff.
What are we looking for....a church that is ALIVE! After all Jesus is Alive, and we want a church that expresses that! We love upbeat music (groovin in our seat music), we like to see an inviting church, people that are not afraid to welcome us and introduce themselves to us. People our age would be nice. After all we need friends!!! And on top of that we want to stay awake during the sermon! A Bible driven church, That's all.
Get this...last Sunday (Mother's Day) we visited a church which had rock music going on! The head music singing guy was actually jumping up and down to the music. crazy wild awesome! Then the preacher started...and yeah it was a woman pastor! The husband and wife pastor the church together; apparently they take turns giving the sermons. and since it was mother's day...she spoke. It was like a woman's conference...but it was really grounded and Bible driven. A very friendly church with lots of young ppl. yeah. we will probably go again.
Bartlesville also has a Friday Church. So we will check that out too. Hopefully it will be a good fit since Todd does has to work some Sundays, so Friday would be a good day for us to still attend church together.
Everything is going good. We are just adjusting to all the new stuff. We miss you all!! See you soon!!

I have a job now!!

YEAH!!! I have a job. In Nowata only a few miles away from Bartlesville is my new job as a customer service/sales chick at Nowata Machine Works.

THANK YOU to those that helped us pack up and move to OK!!! We really appreciated the extra muscles! Remember we have a room for you so come and visit us!!

well this is short b/c I'm hungry! bye

Living Arrangements

What a crazy exciting time us Fergs. Todd has started his new job and is lovin it!!! I mean loving it! He's gettin the feel for the employees and the management staff. And taking advantage of his new employee discount!! Can't wait until I get my discount card!! Watch out world Mrs Paige hasn't been shoppin in months!! Don't worry people, we won't go overboard...afterall we are trying to figure out where we are going to live! Speaking of living.

Let's talk living arrangement! Todd is in Bartlesville! That's his new home! He is staying with his bro and Rachael. We are so blessed to have them down there to have friends and to have a place to stay. Thanks!! Todd not only has to work, but also find us a place to live! We are looking at buying our first home...or renting.

I am in Springfield living by myself for the first time in 5 years...actually the first time ever! It's a bit lonely. My nights consist of me coming home from work, looking around at all the boxes (empty and full) and trying to figure out where to start. Depending on how hungry I am I with either start packing or start cooking dinner. By cooking dinner I mean, look in the cabinet and decide on soup or tuna or mac n' cheese or take-out. However knowing I don't have much food, the first night I decided to make cookies...and I ate half of the batch...oh let me tell you I only made like 10 cookies so it's not like I ate lots....however 5 cookies felt like lots, especially after my belly looked like a pregnant lady's belly. beautiful! The first night I was alone I think I ate all night and watched tv all night and was not motivated to do anything. Well until 8:00 at night, I caught a second wind (the the first wind) and packed a few more boxes. ((note to self, my readers are bored with your blog, spice it up, or speed it up)) Ok, so yesterday our Sunday School class had our married Bible study. We are studing the book Song of Soloman. Wow, it's spicy! Yesterday the subject was sex. Who would of thought the word of God has descriptive scripture of love making. I think the preacher on the tape, Tommy, said "Steamy" a couple of times. ((I wonder if that made a few reader decide to read the Song of Soloman as their next book to read??))

I am fortunate to have wonderful friends! Christina and Wyatt allowed me to stay with them Saturday night so I wouldn't be alone. They are great!! Thanks guys you are an amazing couple and I will cherish our friendship!! So now I am living among boxes again. I'm loving it! My sister says that my garage is gammed pack with stuff and it's a mess...and she wonders what it is...I'm like that is everything from inside my house, sis, I AM MOVING you know! OH yeah. I love my sis! ((side note: if you come over to my house, or if you are one of the lucky ones who want to help move us, you will notice we have gathered lots of boxes, lots of furniture, and lots of love through the years. Don't mind the mess.))

The plan this week is to get the entire house packed up and boxes moved to the garage. Then I will deep clean the house! The duplex is up for sale, so I can't leave the place a mess.

Thanks for your prayers and your love. Until next time! And just so you know there are more than just 2 things that live in Oklahoma. Now there are three... ____ and ____ and the Ferguson's!

Where the Heck is Bartlesville, Oklahoma??

The answer would be the new location for Todd and Paige!! Sad but true! We are moving to Bartlesville, OK! Todd has a new management job at the Gap store in the mall (starts Mon 4/9/07) and I am still hunting...or just starting to hunt for a new job there. Todd will head down and start work. My last day at Bolivar will be the 20th. It's really sad to be leaving a place I have been working for for almost 6 years.

So Why Oklahoma and Why Bartlesville? Well, simply because Shane and Rachael live there! Or at least that is why we started looking...oh about 3 weeks ago. We like the town; it's not a big city but it is bigger than Cabool. About 35k ppl and it has Wal-Mart and lots of churches and a good pizza place and a nice baseball field and it's home for Phillips 66 (which we only care about if I get a good job there) and it's about 2.5-3 hours away from Spfld. Not too far away!!! We are planning on getting a place with a quest room and yes it will furnished with a queen size bed for you to sleep comfortably!!! I'm assuming if you are reading this, you like us and you will want to come and visit! And we will make it baby friendly for all ya'll with little ones. And animal friendly for you crazy cats out there!

Please keep praying for us and our new adventure. Pray that I find a suitable job and that this transition runs smoothly. I know Shane and Rachael are more excited than anyone else, but hopefully the rest of you will be thrilled as well. Todd and I are excited, although we are going to miss our family, our friends, our church, and our normal Springfield routines very very much. We love you all and we will be visiting soon. wait...we haven't left yet. silly me.

I did it!!!

I can finally post again!! After a week I enjoyed a walk with Shane and Rachael!! Then Todd and I took on Shane and Rachael in a game of tennis!! We didn't keep score...we figured we wouldn't get to play much! Hey, it's the first time of the season, we can't expect much. Although Rachael can put some stank on her fire rocket shots! I can't wait to play again! Then today for lunch I sat outside and had lunch...I know it's not dinner but I couldn't wait to type something new for ya'll to read!

Well there are lots of good stuff going on in the Ferguson world. Nothing official yet so I can't say. And NO I'M NOT PREGNANT. Wait, is that a double negative, or isn't it?

So I have this huge window in my office at work. I get to see cars drive by all day, but more importantly I get to see sunshine or the lack thereof. Today it's grey outside with a bit of sunshine.

Have a wonderful Day!!

Hello

Hello fellow Blog readers!!!!
I just love the weather we are having!! It makes me want to take a walk every night...but I haven't. It makes me want to play some tennis...but I haven't. It makes me want to eat dinner outside...but I haven't. Therefore the next time I post a blog I will have all these 3 things done. That is right. I will take a walk, play tennis, and eat dinner outside. Why waste time indoors when you can be out enjoying God's creation!!
Have a beautiful day!!

Valentine's Day Celebration

Valentine's Day was yesterday and it was loads of fun. First I woke up with the man of my dreams...I still can't believe I tricked Todd into marrying me!! Then I headed to work. At work I asked all they guys what they had planned. NOTHING. Absolutly nothing. Now I am not some crazy person who thinks you need to go all out and spend lots of money and do all this spactacular stuff, BUT I do think one person in the relationship should be in charge of planning something original or just something different from other regular nights. Right? Just to say hey I love you and I wanted to plan a night to celebrate and express that!

Todd was in charge of this year's Vday. He picked me up from work and told me my rules. First, I had to get my clothes for the night and head over to Crystal's to get ready. Apparently he needed the house for the big night. Ok so that was fine. And of course, Second, (which is just from being married to him for almost 5 years) don't ask any questions. So I head over to Crystal's, she was gone; working at the florist for the BIG day! She turned her heat down so I was freezing, but I tried to stay warm by watching Everybody Loves Raymond and thanking God that our relationship was not anything like Raymond's relationship.

The big phone call came. Dinner will be ready in 10 minutes. I gather my stuff and head over. Ring Ring, Todd answers the door, in oh so nice clothes and a shaved face!!! I can hardly get in the door (b/c todd was blocking it) and I get greeted by a bigO kiss. Wow, I should come home to that everyday!!! Todd has transformed the living room and kitchen table into a candlelit spactacular! He took all our framed pictures of eachother and other memorbilia and placed it all around the candles. How cool! He prepared wonderful salad, baked potato, and steak! What a meal. SOO much better than eating out on the crazy night. And it helps that Todd is an amazing chef.

We finish the dinner and Todd tells me that he planned for us to watch our wedding video. How cool. Only one problem, we only had it on VHS, and we sold our VHS player at our yard sale last summer. So no video watching, but it was a very cool thought. We just sat in the candlelight and chatted it up with no tv, no computer, no noise. Just us. It was so fun to just relax and know we didn't need anything else to make Valentine's Day a fun celebration in remembering just how much we love each other. So Todd, Thank you for the wonderful night!

PB&J combo

Have you ever tasted the Salt & Vinegar Chips? Well I have and I hate it. It is just so stinkin tart or sour or just plane bad. Todd loves it. The only "vinegar" like chip we agree on is the Dill Pickle. (Can I get a WHOO WHOO?) Since I'm not a fan of the salt & vinegar Todd likes to get it when we go to like Subway or if we are on a trip. That keeps me from stealing one, he's so smart! But I will say he doesn't buy that chip often b/c well he loves me more than the chip! (Yahoozle!!) So I was enjoying my PB&J and all of a sudden Sally returns from the store. She just bought a bag of Salt & Vinegar Chips. (YUCK) Usually she comes back with a chip I like, like Dill Pickle or something besides S&V. So she opens the bag and starts eating, she looks over at me eating my PB&J solo and says, " You have got to try these. They are sooo good." I look over and say, "Salt & Vinegar...I usually don't like them, but I will try it." So I hesitate (but only for a second, people, it is me we are talking about) and head to her office. Grab A Chip and chew. Hum Not bad. (Woooaah!) Not bad, what am I saying. So I think about it. And then I grab a paper towel and dump some chips on it for me! What a delight! These chips go great with my PB&J. What a combo, just the right about of sweet, just the right amount of zing. So I guess now, Todd, we can get those chips you love, b/c they are really not that bad.

the love month!! and birthday month

So sorry it has been a month since my last post. Let's see....in January the power went out, Todd and I became dependant on our friends and family for food and shelter, then our friends and family became dependant on us for food and shelter. I have been battleing the neverending cold of '07 (snot and cough). Oh yeah and my work is still running on a generator. Great fun! What a way to start off the new year!! yahooooozzle!! needless to say I've been a bit busy.

Now that we found out spring is coming sooner than later. ha. I can't wait until spring flowers and warm weather and oh yeah the longer days!! But first we get to celebrate the love month. February! Valentines Day!! Guys don't forget! Be original! Be romantic! Be creative! In other words...Todd I am expecting something awesome! LAFY

February is also a month full of birthdays! Just to list a few... Todd, my Dad, Shane, Christina, and Deb. Time to go shopping!!! yeah fun! Time to Celebrate everyone getting one year older! I'm sure Todd will have a fun bday bash. And he should. 26 only comes around once in a lifetime, why let it go to waste and not celebrate! I think paintball should be in the agenda! Anyone interested??

have a wonderful February and I will try to post important stuff, with complete sentences...once I get better.

Year in Review

For a few days now I have been wondering what to write about to share with all of you! And the best thing I have come up with is to jot down a few things that has happend to Todd and I during this year. So hear goes...however I might miss some things!

In March, we became Aunt Paige and Uncle Todd for the first "offical" time!! Logan Alan Walls was born on the greenest day of the year, St Patricks Day. He is a ball of joy and I just love him like crazy. Logan is 9 months now and crawling everywhere. He loves to play ball and kicks the ball with his left foot. Hum, Todd is excited about the lefthanded business...time will tell.

Todd's brother, Shane, finally proposed to his girlfriend, Rachael, on December 30th!!! Yeah we are going to have a wedding in May 2007!! We are so excited! Rachael is such a nice, caring, smart, fun, pretty person! Congratulations to Shane and Rachael! We can't wait!

Todd and I are still playing co-ed Softball and Volleyball. Now, let me remind you that I haven't played softball in 5 or 6 years, so this was a challenge for me. But after a few games I figured out how to watch the ball hit the bat and how to point with my shoulder to throw the ball. Practice is helpful!! And Todd plays basketball and men's softball. Todd has also mastered ping pong, however my Dad can still beat him. hehe. Also this year we got out our tennis rackets again for a couple of games (it's only been 4 years). We played doubles with the Schmickles and we lost some and won some. The tennis game was fun and boy are we out of shape. Our goals for 2007 is to get back into shape so we can play tennis for 8 hours and still be able to walk off the courts.

We took a road trip with Dana and Teresa Frederick to Kansas. That was pretty fun. We first headed to the casino in Kansas City. I learned how to play blackjack. I don't think I lost any money, but I sure didn't win any. However Todd, Dana, and Teresa had better luck, they all left with more....or maybe Todd's winnings evened out my loss. (??) We enjoyed eating at the Arthur Bryants at the casino. Boy did we get a lot of food for 10 bucks. wow! In Kansas we saw where Dana grew up. We celebrated his brothers 30th bday and got to meet his family and his brothers friends. Always entertaining...those Fredericks! Good times!

We also headed down to Nashville to see Todd's best friend Jason get married to a beautiful girl, Amanda. We got to hang with the whole gang, eat, and relax. We shopped some, but mainly did all the wedding stuff. On the way back to MO we detoured to see one of my friends in Arkansas, Michelle. She had lunch for us and Todd was able to take a short nap while Michelle and I caught up on lost time! It was a wonderful trip that ended at my parents house for dinner, then to Springfield to sleep. It was great to get to see everyone and to break up the long drive! The free food was good too. :)

We have join Glendale Christian Church in November after attending the church for about 9 months. This is awesome, because Todd and I have not been members of the same church. And what a blessing God has given us, a friendship with wonderful people at GCC! We love our Young Married Sunday School Class. A big group of God trusting couples striving to do what God calls them to do. However our Sunday School class is not just a class on Sunday morning, it is so much more than that. All the wonderful couples in this class are basically our best friends. We hang out with them during the week. Have girl parties and guy parties. We do community service projects, and accountability groups. What a blessing to be involved in a church were you can laugh and grow as a Christian and not be judged but be encouraged. Thank you GCC family!

This year we had Season Passes to Silver Dollar City. And boy did we use them!! I think we went 5 times. It's fun seeing how they change that place from one event to the next.

My parents had our family Branson Condo Weekends again!! Twice this year. The first trip Logan was 2 months old. The last trip he moved a lot more and we had to really watch what he got into (Thanksgiving weekend). These family retreats/relaxing weekends are filled with love and food. We shopped and shopped and fought off traffic. We headed down to the Landing and waited 2 hours to eat at Joe's Crab Shack. Eventhough we have lots of fun and we are constantly doing something we always have time to just laugh and share with eachother. I love the trips with my family. It makes me feel young again!! I think the beach is in order for next year!! (please Dad can we go!! pretty please!)

Family Pig Roast. Parents had an auction. We finished our family cabin! We survived one more year with just one car!! Trips to Cabool to see family and friends! Birthday dinners with the Fergusons. Blogging started.

The year didn't stop there but my lunch break sure did. Thanks for reading!

Happy New Year!!!!
