Valentine's Day Celebration

Valentine's Day was yesterday and it was loads of fun. First I woke up with the man of my dreams...I still can't believe I tricked Todd into marrying me!! Then I headed to work. At work I asked all they guys what they had planned. NOTHING. Absolutly nothing. Now I am not some crazy person who thinks you need to go all out and spend lots of money and do all this spactacular stuff, BUT I do think one person in the relationship should be in charge of planning something original or just something different from other regular nights. Right? Just to say hey I love you and I wanted to plan a night to celebrate and express that!

Todd was in charge of this year's Vday. He picked me up from work and told me my rules. First, I had to get my clothes for the night and head over to Crystal's to get ready. Apparently he needed the house for the big night. Ok so that was fine. And of course, Second, (which is just from being married to him for almost 5 years) don't ask any questions. So I head over to Crystal's, she was gone; working at the florist for the BIG day! She turned her heat down so I was freezing, but I tried to stay warm by watching Everybody Loves Raymond and thanking God that our relationship was not anything like Raymond's relationship.

The big phone call came. Dinner will be ready in 10 minutes. I gather my stuff and head over. Ring Ring, Todd answers the door, in oh so nice clothes and a shaved face!!! I can hardly get in the door (b/c todd was blocking it) and I get greeted by a bigO kiss. Wow, I should come home to that everyday!!! Todd has transformed the living room and kitchen table into a candlelit spactacular! He took all our framed pictures of eachother and other memorbilia and placed it all around the candles. How cool! He prepared wonderful salad, baked potato, and steak! What a meal. SOO much better than eating out on the crazy night. And it helps that Todd is an amazing chef.

We finish the dinner and Todd tells me that he planned for us to watch our wedding video. How cool. Only one problem, we only had it on VHS, and we sold our VHS player at our yard sale last summer. So no video watching, but it was a very cool thought. We just sat in the candlelight and chatted it up with no tv, no computer, no noise. Just us. It was so fun to just relax and know we didn't need anything else to make Valentine's Day a fun celebration in remembering just how much we love each other. So Todd, Thank you for the wonderful night!

Ok so I won't leave you a message that Mozilla Firefox web browser has updated. It seems like you might already know that. I had a great time last night....very relaxing. You deserve more and hopefully one day I will be able to provide that for you. Thanks for loving me. You make me feel incredible (and I am not talking about THAT WAY, but you do a good job there too). Thanks. LAFY

That is sooooo cool, I'll have to hint to my husband.......I agree being at home instead of out in the crowd sometimes is much sweeter. (Cuz, Lisa Windsor)
