Year in Review

For a few days now I have been wondering what to write about to share with all of you! And the best thing I have come up with is to jot down a few things that has happend to Todd and I during this year. So hear goes...however I might miss some things!

In March, we became Aunt Paige and Uncle Todd for the first "offical" time!! Logan Alan Walls was born on the greenest day of the year, St Patricks Day. He is a ball of joy and I just love him like crazy. Logan is 9 months now and crawling everywhere. He loves to play ball and kicks the ball with his left foot. Hum, Todd is excited about the lefthanded business...time will tell.

Todd's brother, Shane, finally proposed to his girlfriend, Rachael, on December 30th!!! Yeah we are going to have a wedding in May 2007!! We are so excited! Rachael is such a nice, caring, smart, fun, pretty person! Congratulations to Shane and Rachael! We can't wait!

Todd and I are still playing co-ed Softball and Volleyball. Now, let me remind you that I haven't played softball in 5 or 6 years, so this was a challenge for me. But after a few games I figured out how to watch the ball hit the bat and how to point with my shoulder to throw the ball. Practice is helpful!! And Todd plays basketball and men's softball. Todd has also mastered ping pong, however my Dad can still beat him. hehe. Also this year we got out our tennis rackets again for a couple of games (it's only been 4 years). We played doubles with the Schmickles and we lost some and won some. The tennis game was fun and boy are we out of shape. Our goals for 2007 is to get back into shape so we can play tennis for 8 hours and still be able to walk off the courts.

We took a road trip with Dana and Teresa Frederick to Kansas. That was pretty fun. We first headed to the casino in Kansas City. I learned how to play blackjack. I don't think I lost any money, but I sure didn't win any. However Todd, Dana, and Teresa had better luck, they all left with more....or maybe Todd's winnings evened out my loss. (??) We enjoyed eating at the Arthur Bryants at the casino. Boy did we get a lot of food for 10 bucks. wow! In Kansas we saw where Dana grew up. We celebrated his brothers 30th bday and got to meet his family and his brothers friends. Always entertaining...those Fredericks! Good times!

We also headed down to Nashville to see Todd's best friend Jason get married to a beautiful girl, Amanda. We got to hang with the whole gang, eat, and relax. We shopped some, but mainly did all the wedding stuff. On the way back to MO we detoured to see one of my friends in Arkansas, Michelle. She had lunch for us and Todd was able to take a short nap while Michelle and I caught up on lost time! It was a wonderful trip that ended at my parents house for dinner, then to Springfield to sleep. It was great to get to see everyone and to break up the long drive! The free food was good too. :)

We have join Glendale Christian Church in November after attending the church for about 9 months. This is awesome, because Todd and I have not been members of the same church. And what a blessing God has given us, a friendship with wonderful people at GCC! We love our Young Married Sunday School Class. A big group of God trusting couples striving to do what God calls them to do. However our Sunday School class is not just a class on Sunday morning, it is so much more than that. All the wonderful couples in this class are basically our best friends. We hang out with them during the week. Have girl parties and guy parties. We do community service projects, and accountability groups. What a blessing to be involved in a church were you can laugh and grow as a Christian and not be judged but be encouraged. Thank you GCC family!

This year we had Season Passes to Silver Dollar City. And boy did we use them!! I think we went 5 times. It's fun seeing how they change that place from one event to the next.

My parents had our family Branson Condo Weekends again!! Twice this year. The first trip Logan was 2 months old. The last trip he moved a lot more and we had to really watch what he got into (Thanksgiving weekend). These family retreats/relaxing weekends are filled with love and food. We shopped and shopped and fought off traffic. We headed down to the Landing and waited 2 hours to eat at Joe's Crab Shack. Eventhough we have lots of fun and we are constantly doing something we always have time to just laugh and share with eachother. I love the trips with my family. It makes me feel young again!! I think the beach is in order for next year!! (please Dad can we go!! pretty please!)

Family Pig Roast. Parents had an auction. We finished our family cabin! We survived one more year with just one car!! Trips to Cabool to see family and friends! Birthday dinners with the Fergusons. Blogging started.

The year didn't stop there but my lunch break sure did. Thanks for reading!

Happy New Year!!!!
